Mission

Hanover Place Child Care welcomes children from ages six weeks through five years. Parents can fulfill employment, education, and any other obligations because of the extended hours and services we offer. Our goal is to shape an intrinsic educational environment where children learn through play about themselves and others, their feelings, and the world around them.

We meet these goals using our “Creative Curriculum” which focuses on four basic areas of development:

Child Development

Social/Emotional Development

(sense of self, responsibility for self and others, pro-social behavior)

Regulates own emotions and behaviors
- Manages feelings, follows limits and expectations, takes care of own needs appropriately

Language Development

Our teacher/child ratios are as follows:

Infants	1:4
Age one and stable walkers	1:5
Age two and potty trained	1:5
Late two-three and potty trained	1:7

At Hanover Place, our devoted and passionate teachers serve as guides on the learning journey. Our caregivers closely observe each child to gain understanding of his or her abilities, strengths, and challenges. Upon assessment, our teachers provide additional assistance and guidance to further explore and engage your child’s learning style. We firmly believe that children should have choices while learning in a classroom, for this encourages the development of problem-solving techniques and decision-making skills. To that end, we encourage children decision-making, to ask questions, and to explore classroom activities of their choosing. In addition, we accommodate monthly themes and lessons as large group activities for peer interactions and social networking.
